5. Dormant Wallet Settings
Upon specifying a Bitcoin Recovery Address, your wallet’s Settings area will automatically include an option for you to define a Dormancy Wallet Setting.
A wallet is declared dormant when no successful login activity has occurred during the defined amount of time. By default, each wallet has a Dormant Wallet Setting of 10 years, but this can be changed to shorter periods based on each user’s preference.
If a wallet goes into a dormant state, it will continue to be accessible but several events will be triggered. First, all pending marketplace orders will be cancelled and all available Credits will be forfeited. Secondly, if the wallet’s Bitcoin balance is at least 0.0014 BTC and the BTC Recovery Address is a valid Bitcoin address, the wallet’s available Bitcoin balance will be transferred to the BTC Recovery Address specified.
An email notification will automatically be sent 7 days before a wallet is scheduled to go dormant. This serves as a timely reminder that the dormancy period defined for your wallet is approaching. To ensure that you can receive such notifications, your wallet should always have a registered email address that you can check regularly.
