Misty Breez Wallet Unifies Lightning & Liquid

Misty Breez is a newly launched self-custodial Bitcoin wallet aiming to make Lightning Network payments more accessible by integrating the Liquid sidechain. Built using Breez’s Nodeless SDK, it eliminates the complexity of managing channels or running nodes, enabling users to send and receive Bitcoin seamlessly.
The wallet leverages Liquid to offer self-custody with the speed of Lightning, using submarine swaps to convert between L-BTC and Lightning sats. This hybrid approach combines the privacy and speed of Lightning with the settlement assurances of Liquid.
Misty Breez supports BOLT11 and BOLT12 invoices, LNURL-Pay, Lightning Addresses, and on-chain BTC transactions. Offline payments are also possible via push notifications, enhancing the user experience even without a constant internet connection.
Designed as a reference implementation, Misty Breez serves developers looking to integrate Lightning payments into their applications. Its open-source nature allows full customization and rebranding, making it ideal for businesses or platforms building user-centric Bitcoin payment solutions.
