Update to APY calculation & Delayed Credit Limits

Post by mistaPhi »

After monitoring system performance and activity over the past month, I'm pleased to drop a couple new updates that you'll want to be aware of...

First is the update to the APY calculation. Up until today, the APY calculation did not account for any of the Bitcoin profits earned from Delayed Credit purchases. As such, the conversion APY displayed has been lower than it should've been for users that received BTC payouts from Delayed Credits.

Imagine this... You purchase $11 in Credits from the marketplace and paid $10 in BTC for it. And for the sake of simplicity, let's say it takes a full year to convert. Your APY would be ($11 - $10)/$10 = $1/$10 = 0.1 or 10%

Now let's say that in addition to that marketplace purchase, you purchased $100 in Delayed Credits for a single 30-day period during the year. At a 5% return, you would receive $105 in Bitcoin after 30 days. This is a net profit of $5 in 30 days, which was not originally incorporated into the APY calculation. To accurately depict the conversion APY for your full transaction activity, the $5 net profit in BTC should technically decrease the net BTC that was paid to acquire credits through other means (such as deposit fees, marketplace purchases, or the stimulus generator). In essence, it's like acquiring $11 in credits from the marketplace for $5 in BTC rather than $10 in BTC (after the 30-day redemption period of course).

Now that the BTC payouts from Delayed Credits are included in the APY calculations, wallet holders will have a more accurate depiction of their overall wallet performance. 👍

=================================================

Now with that said and done, as of today, November 9, 2025, wallet holders can purchase up to 10 times the amount of Delayed Credits that have been purchased from the Marketplace. 🎉

If you use $10 to purchase Credits from the Marketplace, your wallet will be eligible to purchase up to $100 in Delayed Credits while this feature is online.

This is an increase from the previous setting of 5 times the amount of Marketplace purchases; supporting faster Bitcoin accumulation and higher APYs.

Glad you caught this @redeemon... Such intel is truly for those that follow the updates posted in this forum. Many others are missing out, which is quite fitting b/c I actually have to put in work to keep these returns coming. So might as well enjoy it and earn more BTC while I'm up for the task. No guarantees that this feature will always be available :)

Take care bro and we'll holla
