Binance Warns About Fake Listing Agents

Post by umair »

Hey folks,

Binance has just put out an important reminder that every project team should take seriously. They’re warning about a growing wave of scams where people pretend to be official “listing agents” who can guarantee a spot on the exchange. The reality is, Binance does not use any third-party agents to negotiate listings, so if someone approaches you with this offer, it’s a scam.

Another point they highlighted is about payments. Binance made it clear that they don’t charge any sort of upfront listing fee. If someone is asking for tokens or money before any official agreement is made, that’s a huge red flag. The only time payments are ever made is when they’re clearly mentioned in a signed agreement after official confirmation.

They also stressed how important it is to verify communication channels. Scammers are getting smarter — fake emails, fake social accounts, even people posing as Binance staff. Teams should always double-check that they’re dealing with legitimate representatives. One slip and a project could lose both money and credibility.

Why does this matter so much? Because if a project falls victim to these scams, not only do they lose funds, but they also risk damaging their reputation in the community. It creates doubt among investors and slows down the project’s momentum. And on a bigger scale, it hurts the entire crypto ecosystem by fueling distrust.

My advice is simple: never deal with “agents,” never send payments before official confirmation, and always verify who you’re talking to. Better safe than sorry.

Has anyone here ever been approached by someone claiming to be a Binance listing contact? How did you spot it was fake? Would be great if we could share warning signs for others.
