Says Rover, a significant ETH / BTC chart breakout signals that capital is starting to rotate away from Bitcoin into altcoins, a classic indicator of an imminent breakout.
This is after Ethereum's good performance against Bitcoin, and now we’re starting to see early movements in altcoins like Solana, Chainlink, and Avalanche. History shows that if at any point Ethereum beats out Bitcoin, this is usually an indication that a speculative interest is re-entering the broader perspective of the crypto market.
But why does this matter? Altcoin seasons can produce explosive gains, particularly for the early movers who pick up momentum changes ahead of the masses. While Ethereum takes the lead, smaller-cap coins will follow closely behind us, often seeing larger percentage gains.
