I came across this developer team on you-tube, on first glance it appears to be a good layer 2 solution for BTC with some ethos that we are already saturated with too many layer 1 solutions and we could "return" to BTC for functionality and more than the lightning network.
@mistaphi - have you seen this team?

Nope... Never heard of this team or project and at first glance, I can say that I'm not a fan. Anytime I see a project doing a presale, I consider it to be a red flag. And even worse when they claim to offer a solution for Bitcoin and their token isn't pegged with Bitcoin. They're selling this token for less than a penny in the presale and if it gains any traction, it'll be a pump and dump like every other newly created token. Plus, you never know if the people behind it will rug. SSDDredeemon wrote: Sun Apr 27, 2025 5:22 am https://www.bitcoinos.build/

One their website, they say "The same way Bitcoin ETFs unlocked institutional capital, BitcoinOS is about to unlock $2T in Bitcoin for DeFi.". Such statements are complete fluff and insinuate that $2T in Bitcoin will actually flow into defi; and that is quite unrealistic without capturing 100% of the market. First, relatively small percentage of Bitcoiners participate in defi and for those that do, what percentage of them will actually use BitcoinOS? I can guarantee that it's not 100%.
I don't knock anyone for building innovative solutions to support Bitcoin and its users. But when it comes to projects with shitcoin offerings, I have no interest whatsoever. Time has shown again and again that it's better to invest in Bitcoin and hodl. So I'd give this one a thumbs down.
