Viewing multiple wallets simultaneously

Post by DecentralEyes »

I would lke to be able to view all of my wallets simultaneously, (ideally by opening multiple browser tabs), but I'm guessing that is not allowed due to standard web browser security behaviour.

Would it be possible to build an API where we can access the data from all of our wallets?

Hi DecentralEyes,

Your ideal solution is achievable by installing & using different browsers... Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Opera, Opera GX, Brave, etc.

And if you have wallets on both drip2btc & hybtc, you'll be able to log into each of the wallets from the same browser (as each login would have a unique session within the browser).

While creating an API to access wallet data is possible, it wouldn't be a top priority. But using different browsers should allow you to accomplish your goal fairly quickly.

Based on previous convos with you, I think you're a techie so that shouldn't be too hard to figure out. If your goal is to view all of your wallets simultaneously, using different browsers would be the most logical way to accomplish this.

But if you can stir up the interest of enough users that really want/need API access to query their wallets, I'll certainly consider developing it and escalating the priority of it. Otherwise, my time & effort would be better spent on developing further solutions that generate income for the system or produce additional use cases for Bitcoin and the wallets.

There is one other solution to consider... Buy 9 more mac books. 🤣 😂 😅

My 2 satoshi's worth... I really like this idea but happy to wait for other higher priority features first :icon_cool:

I agree, - more of a 'could have' in the MoSCoW scheme :)

I mention it because of my keen interest in Web 3 development and my exisiting knowledge of web development / front-end as well as the conveniece of having all of your wallet info available in one view.

However, I have found a reasonable workaround, where you can have one wallet per browser tab.
It's a bit fiddly to set up - I have to leave the browser open but minimised otherwise it seems to lose all the container tab info.

Firefox with the Multi-Account Containers add-in.
